Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works for many different types of problems.

I have broken down a few of the most common to Illustrate how SFH works to overcome them:

Anxiety and Stress

While shorts bursts of stress can be helpful to our health and production, ongoing stress can become very problematic to us, often impacting our emotional and physical health. During our work together, I will explain the brain’s stress response which is often referred to as the flight /flight/freeze mechanism. Using trance I will activate the parasympathetic nervous system which will reduce the stress hormone cortisol. We will be working together to focus on small, manageable goals to help you gain back your sense of control, whilst reducing overthinking and anticipatory anxiety.

Children and Young People

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is very effective for helping children and young people with a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges.

As the brain develops through childhood into adolescence, anxieties and emotional triggers can often seem completely overwhelming as the brain can struggle to regulate these challenging emotions. Through using SFH we will work to calm the nervous system, supporting  emotional regulation and better sleep. We will be focusing on the young persons strengths and reinforcing positive self-beliefs to develop self-esteem and overall confidence.

SFH also works well with academic pressures such as exam anxiety and performance issues as it supports clearer thinking and improved concentration from significantly reducing anxiety.

Insomnia

As a result of activating the parasympathetic nervous system, your sleep will improve as your attention is shifted away from racing thoughts and stress triggers as cortisol levels reduce. Helping you to feel more energised, calmer and focused.

Depression and Low Mood

SFH works to shift past ruminations to future-orientated thinking. You will be engaging in small, achievable activities and interactions, reinforcing optimistic thought patterns and building new neurological pathways.

SFH works by using a Rewind and Reframe technique during trance to detach emotional response from the feared object or situation. This will restore your feelings of safety and freedom.

Addictions and Habits

Smoking is a learned habit often tied to stress relief. boredom, or routine- not physical addiction alone. SFH will target the psychological dependency by changing the way the subconscious mind relates to smoking. It builds internal motivation, strengthens willpower, and installs healthier patterns. Hypnosis will enhance neuroplasticity, making it easier to break habitual loops and embed new behaviour.
